sucks i know, but whatever-lol
I have been thinking about this for a long time. i should have posted it earlier but for different reasons that are not worth to be mentioned now, i didnt. hey, we know we aint got a chance in this music industry thing, cause we aint got the time to hunt the dream. VL
first of all i will do a short briefing about who we are and what we do in life and then maybe sum up our attitude towards life and our conclusions.
to start with, i have to mention that the band 'coffee junkies' does not actually exist as a band.
it exists though as a creative duo. a duo consisting of me- VL and STEVEN. both born and raised in Greece from so called middle class families.
i was born in 1982, steven in 1981. we are both students in a local university, i am studying medicine, steven is in electronic engineering.
i know nothing to do with music-hehe. we went to school together- so our friendship aint exactly new- we date back like 14 years or something.
the first guitar i got in my hands was a classic second hand guitar and the reason was my restless mind and the need to express my feelings about the world,
love and all the interesting things that fired and stimulated my imagination.
i learned to play by myself and with a little help from steven and from some books i got.
steven had better luck on that, cause he started playing the piano since elementary school.
he also learned to play a little guitar, drums, bass and also interfered with byzantine music. we formed deathday- a creative duo,
where we sat together and wrote songs, lyrics talked about philosophical matters that we really enjoy- but sometimes ended up being rather
foolosophical-hahaha. as i wasnt confident with my guitar playing to form a band, steven had to cultivate his need to play live,
so he joined different local bands as a bass player and for about 3 years he was playing around town in different local clubs. playing the bass
lines in covers of different styles of songs. from iron maiden to creed, clash, radiohead etc. he was already into electronic music and his interfering with
computers naturally led him to making electronic music and involving himself with sound engineering and stuff.
apart from that he is now finishing up his school and being a member of dotred gameswww.dotredgames.com where we did the mus
ic on the game crazy space.
(well actually he did the biggest part!) my bio is much much worse-lol- i havent stopped writing songs on an amateur level,
with the goal to write the best song in the world-haaaaaaaaaahahahaha (tenacious d)lol.
sometimes life is mean. we are barely holding on finacially- so we aint got time for dream hunting. so thats all more or less...
and we could use a session guitarist and a drummer and a contract-hahahaha just kidding!
c ya around here.
